Arctic Dream – Northern Sessions was conceived from a simple yet powerful idea: to allow Arctic nature, silence, and live music to exist in the same space.
Rather than creating a traditional cruise or concert, Northern Sessions was designed as an atmosphere — where pristine polar landscapes, intimate live performances, and refined Nordic hospitality merge into a singular sensory experience.

Northern Sessions was created by Øystein Blix and Kurt Arild Larsen, combining artistic vision with decades of experience within Arctic travel, live performance, and premium hospitality.

Musician availability naturally varies depending on date and departure time. However, every Northern Sessions voyage is thoughtfully curated to preserve the delicate balance between sound, silence, and scenery.
Each session typically features two performers, presenting two live sessions during the voyage, ensuring that every experience feels distinct, atmospheric, and deeply memorable.

A long-standing guitarist with Tromsø Storband, Larsen has also contributed to projects including Barrelhouse and collaborations with renowned Northern Norwegian artists. His musical background reflects a rare combination of stylistic depth and expressive sensitivity.
Deeply rooted in jazz and blues traditions, Larsen’s playing is further enriched by his experience with Indian folk music, adding subtle textures and tonal nuance to his performances.
